What is necessary when purchasing equipment?

The Finance: Office of Grants and Contracts records and tracks University capital equipment within the PeopleSoft Asset Module.  

a.     If I leave, can I take it with me? Or can I give it to someone else?

b.     Are there dollar limits to get approval?

c.      Is this dependent upon funding source or chairs discretion?

d.     When do I get a bid or when not to get a bid?
